The AHFE International 2008 Conference Report
See you in 2010 in Miami, Florida USA

The Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics 2008 International was held in Las Vegas, Nevada USA from July 14 to 18, 2008.

With over 500 presentations in seven parallel sessions and 50 posters, 700 attendees from over 40 countries shared their research and experiences in all areas of human factors and ergonomics. The AHFEI 2008 International also featured an exhibition where 20 companies, institutions, and publishers allowed attendees to examine state-of-the-art ergonomics technology and interact with their representatives.

Through a variety of social activities, the conference was a privileged place to renew contacts with colleagues and make new friends from all over the world.

The 3rd AHFE International Conference will be held July 19-22, 2010 at Intercontinental, Miami, Florida USA The conference’s objective is to provide an international forum for the dissemination and exchange of scientific information on theoretical, generic, and applied areas of ergonomics, including physical ergonomics, cognitive ergonomics, social and organizational ergonomics, ergonomics modeling and usability evaluation, healthcare and special populations, and safety and ergonomics in manufacturing.

The Human Factors and Ergonomics in Manufacturing is edited by Wademar Karwowski and Gavriel Salvendy and published quarterly by Wiley with an extensive international review committee. The objective of the journal is to facilitate discovery, integration, and application of scientific knowledge about human aspects of manufacturing and system engineering. The journal covers a broad range of topics in ergonomics and human factors with a focus on design, operation, and management of systems.
