AHFE International 2012 in San Francisco |
1,539 academics, professionals and researchers from 51 countries shared their research, experience and findings in the field of human factors, ergonomics and usability at the Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics International 2012 on July 21-25, at the Hilton San Francisco, USA.
64 percent of the AHFEI 2012 participants came from outside the USA. The AHFEI 2012 also featured an exhibition which included 18 (22 booths) product and service companies, in the field of the human factors and ergonomics.
It is a great pleasure to announce that we had an increase of 50% in the number of attendees and doubled the size of our exhibitions. We have also nearly doubled the number of parallel sessions as we went from 10 to 17 parallel interactive sessions since the AHFEI 2010.
One of the major themes of the conference was the Human Side of Service Engineering. Dr. James (“Jim”) C. Spohrer, the Director of IBM University Program Worldwide (IBMUP), presented his introductory remakes on the “Human Side of Service Engineering for a Smart Planet”.
The proceedings of the conference containing all the papers presented at the conference are available in digital format. The hard copies of the proceedings are in 14 volumes published by the CRC Press. The CD is available for $80 and includes shipping and handling.
The AHFE International 2012 will be held from July 19 to 23.under the auspices of 14 distinguished international boards consisting of 308 members from 41 countries in the historic city of Kraków in Poland.
