AHFE2015 Scientific and Technical Advisor
I would like to personally invite you to attend the 6th International Conference on Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics (AHFE 2015), including our 20 Affiliated Conferences. It’s an exciting time for the field of Human Factors and Ergonomics (HFE). The world is evolving at an astounding pace; new technologies emerge more rapidly each year and globalization continues to change how we work, study, and play. HFE figures prominently in all of these innovations. It is the fundamental catalyst, bridging the gap between systems and humans and unlocking the promise inherent in new technologies and ways of living.
AHFE2015 offers a venue for intellectual exchanges, deep scientific discussions, and transformative demonstrations of emerging HFE topics. This year, we’ve added eight Affiliated Conferences to keep pace with new application areas, including HFE in cybersecurity, unmanned systems, and robots and exoskeletons. We also continue to offer our established, high-quality program tracks in topics such as HFE for manufacturing, healthcare, and digital human modeling. A single registration to AHFE gives you access to this breadth of content. No other event features this many high-quality HFE conferences and with such diverse scientists, engineers, and practitioners from around the globe!
What can you expect at AHFE2015? This year’s conference includes more than 1000 presenters, hailing from over 60 different countries, and working in industry, academia, and governmental positions. The five- day event will run from July 26-30,2015 in one of the United States’ most exciting cities, Las Vegas. The conference begins with more than a dozen tutorials, taught by leading scientists and experts, and then it features three days of keynote presentations, parallel sessions, demonstrations, poster sessions, and exhibitions. New this year, the prestigious Elsevier ScienceDirect Procedia will publish and index our proceedings, and we’ll offer our inaugural Best Paper awards, including a $5,000 prize for the overall best paper and a $1,000 prize for the Best Student Paper.
Before I close, I’d like to thank each of you for supporting AHFE2015 and bringing your expertise to our gathering. Collectively, we have the vision, the knowledge, the wherewithal, and the experience to help pave the future of HFE. You and your fellow participants are the greatest assets of our community, and this conference couldn’t be successful without your support. I hope you’ll join us in Las Vegas, and while you’re there, get engaged with the conference, give us feedback, and help us continue to refine the future of AHFE.
